Grace.
-You can't pay the penalty for your sins so quit trying too. Jesus has already paid the debt for us, so why do we still try to obey the law? We live under grace now.
-It doesn't benefit us to tear each other down by telling one another what we are doing wrong, we should be uplifting each other.
-It's not the wrath of God that brings sinners to repentance, it's the grace of God and his righteousness.
-If we allow guilt into our life when we get on the wrong track, it will destroy your relationship with Christ,
-It's about growing in your relationship with Christ, not striving to be a better person.
-When you make decisions out of fear, it won't sustain you.
Galatians 2:19-21
"What actually took place is this: I tried keeping rules and working my head off to please God, and it didn't work. So I quit being a "law man" so that I could be God's man. Christ's life showed me how, and enabled me to do it. I identified myself completely with him. Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ. My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me. The life you see me living is not "mine," but it is lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I am not going to go back on that. Is it not clear to you that to go back to that old rule-keeping, peer-pleasing religion would be an abandonment of everything personal and free in my relationship with God? I refuse to do that, to repudiate God's grace. If a living relationship with God could come by rule-keeping, then Christ died unnecessarily.
If you have been saved, quit trying to live under the law. If you find yourself feeling guilty about things, quit! How are we supposed to show Christ's love in our life if we haven't even fully figured it out for ourselves. You are not guilty, Jesus reigns over your body. You are made righteous through him He is your advocate. In that way, your perfect. God is not mad at you for things you have done, he has already forgiven you for it.
